What is the Koronis Lake Association?

The Koronis Lake Association (KLA) is a nonprofit, membership supported organization formed in 1971. Our mission is to promote the protection and improvement of Lake Koronis, and for over 50 years, with the support of thousands of individuals who have contributed their time and financial resources, we have held true to that mission.

Through the years, much has been accomplished by KLA:

• Developed grants and collaborative partnerships with agencies, organizations, and individuals.

• Raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to improve water quality and take on aquatic invasive species problems.

• Initiated a number of studies through the years, which have provided data and identified problems to address next.

• Installs and removes buoys that mark danger spots on the lake.

• Was instrumental in forming the North Fork Crow River Watershed District in 1984.

• Manage and fund the 4th of July Fireworks show and Boat Parade.

Our future on Koronis is bright. Because of interested and like-minded people like you, we can muster the individual and collective action needed to protect and improve Koronis Lake.
